Funding now open for resource recovery infrastructure
Round 1 of the $7 million Resource Recovery Infrastructure Fund is now open. This first round has up to $4 million in grants available to support the development of infrastructure that improves the collection and processing of recycled materials.
Metropolitan councils and private enterprises are able to apply for Round 1 funding of between $40,000 and $500,000 for collection, sorting or processing infrastructure development.
Round 1 is focused on projects that target organics, rigid and soft plastics, and e-waste as priority materials.
