Grant recipients announced for third round of Litter Hotspots fund

The third round of the Litter Hotspots program is now underway.

The total funding pool for this round was $121,314, which will support nine local government and community partnership projects to prevent litter from entering storm water drains and impacting the Port Phillip Bay catchment.

Litter Hotspots is one of a range of programs in place to protect the Port Phillip Bay catchment, including the Yarra River. The program encourages community action to tackle litter in local areas, preventing it from polluting our waterways.

A full list of the successful grant recipients, including details on their projects is available here.

Although the third round of Litter Hotspots funding has been allocated, organisations with innovative approaches to prevent and reduce the impact of litter and illegal dumping should check out the Litter Innovation Fund.
